For people helping people
Helping someone through redundancy?
DunDunSee™ gives people a calmer way to understand the package in front of them: what the moving parts mean, what they might actually receive, and how much breathing room it could buy.
Who this page is for
If you support people at the awkward end of employment.
DunDunSee is useful before, alongside or after the conversations you already have with someone. It is not trying to replace specialist advice. It handles the practical “what does this package mean for me?” layer so the next conversation can start from a clearer place.
Why it is comfortable to recommend
No lead funnel hiding behind the calculator.
- No DunDunSee account required. Someone can open the tool and start working through the numbers.
- Local-first by design. Personal calculation data is not bundled into normal product-share or company-scheme links.
- Privacy-focused site analytics only. Anonymous page-visit and website performance statistics are collected by Cloudflare, not personal calculations or financial inputs.
- Clear limits. It says when a question belongs with payroll, HR, a solicitor, union representative, tax specialist or financial adviser instead.
- UK-specific. The calculator and guides are written around UK redundancy rather than generic severance terminology.
Three useful ways to share it
Ready-made wording
You do not need to pitch it.
That is enough. No referral code, no sales hand-off and no requirement to explain the whole product before somebody clicks.
Company-wide situations
One policy, lots of personal calculations.
When several people are affected by the same redundancy exercise, the company-scheme builder can remove one repeated bit of work. Enter the employer or scheme label and the policy weeks-per-year baseline once, then share that link with the group.
The recipient is explicitly told the baseline came from whoever shared the link, has not been verified by the employer or endorsed by DunDunSee, and can be changed before calculating.
Create a scheme linkA note on trust
Useful, not authoritative.
DunDunSee™ is an estimator and general information service. It is not legal, tax, financial, employment or employer-policy advice, and it does not replace official company documentation or professional judgement.
The point is narrower and more human: help someone turn a stressful collection of figures into a clearer set of questions, options and next conversations.
Know someone who could use it?
Send them the calculator, the relevant guide, or a company-scheme link. Pick the smallest useful thing and let them take it from there.
